Jeff Nixon
Bio
Jeff Nixon is a distinguished PGA professional with over 30 years of experience in the golf industry. He has garnered numerous accolades, including eight section awards and recognition as a three-time News Press Coach of the Year. Nixon’s leadership and expertise were further highlighted during his tenure as the president of the Southwest Chapter of the PGA of America. As a head professional and general manager, he has demonstrated a consistent track record of excellence and dedication to the sport. In addition to his achievements on the course, Nixon has also been a prominent radio personality, hosting “Play Golf Southwest Florida” for 14 years, where he shares his passion and knowledge of golf with a wide audience.
Brad Davis
Bio
Brad Davis started swinging the golf club on hockey skates and had to make a choice. He became an apprentice in 1991 while attending Ferris State and became a PGA professional by 1995, moved to SWFL in 1996 and has been up the ladder as high as General Manager at 3 locations here locally over 18 of his years here in SWFL. His highest achievements have been increasing NOI at each location to numbers that his Boards and management teams did not believe were attainable.
Beyond NOI, Brad’s passion has always been to grow the game, understand all departments, but mostly he loves anything to do with the grass, the sand, the soils. He has also been 15 years F&B state certified as a Manager so don’t try to test for weakness there because you won’t find it. He has been known to say he makes his Superintendents his best friend so he can understand the fertility, the herbicide treatments, but it’s really the equipment. Trust me, take him near a piece of equipment and he’ll drive away on it.
He believes he introduced “juniors play free” in 1999 to SWFL, as he feels golf has to have juniors playing to sustain itself. Besides, no kids on a course, is not a fun course. He was saddened when he first came to town and juniors weren’t welcome, but since then the area has worked endlessly to create programs for kids.
As he is a husband and father you will never find him happier than when he is with family. He has seen most everything in this business and understands the strength of a family. His best friend is his wife, Danielle and it is obvious as he is happiest with her nearby. Now, the occasional redfish may make him smile as much as Danielle but it’s close.
